My ramblings of a mad world we live in. And some other helpfull topics will be added from time to time.

Today, America and the rest of the world will say good bye to an icon in the racing and motor vechile modifying scene. I am talking about Mr.Carrol Shelby.

The race is run, the flag unfurled, the champion now will rest. God speed, Carroll Shelby, we will never forget you. Jan. 11, 1923 – May 10, 2012.

For those who do not know who this man was, go and rent the movie “Gone in 60  seconds” the last car to be stolen was a 1967 Ford Shelby GT500. Also known as “Elenaore”. This car was and still is the pinicle of motoring. I will give both my nuts to own one of these beauties, i mean, who needs kids anyway?

I fell in love with this car the first time i saw this movie and i loved it ever since. No complicated computers spoiling the driving pleasure. Just brute force and no traction control to hold u down. Man, how it must have felt for driving this beast? I beleive when Mr. Shelby created this mater peace, he did not think it would have such an impact in the motoring world?

So, on my part, i whould just like to bow my head in silence to the man who made this car. Who made it possible to dream. For this is my dream to own one of these beautiful motor vechiles. May u rest in peace Mr. Shelby.

I am currently staying in sunny South-Africa. I love to be out and about and my favorite pass time is bass fishing and drag racing. From time to time i will play p.c games, but not to much.
